Council raises $2,391 for The ARC of Somerset County

Knights Work to Support ARC of Somerset – Every year; the Sgt. John Basilone Council of the Knights of Columbus and other councils host a Faith in Action program called “Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities” The drive helps raise funds to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through various programs and initiatives like the special Olympics and programs providing diagnosis, family support, transportation and educational services to special citizens, like programs that can be found at the Arc of Somerset County, where 1,400 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families are helped every year. The drive is one of the most successful fundraising programs conducted by the Knights. Recently, the council gave $2,391.30 to the ARC of Somerset County to support programs, in addition to some money to the state council to support Special Olympics.
